- Sample Type & Phase
- Representative single-phase natural gas at the defined measurement pressure. Provide full composition and identify free liquids, aerosol, glycol, methanol, compressor oil, particulate, and expected heavy-hydrocarbon content.
- Measurement Range
- State the normal and worst-case water dew point and hydrocarbon condensation temperature, required accuracy, measurement mode, alarm points, measurement pressure, and any contractual reference pressure.
- Sample Conditions
- Provide pipeline pressure and temperature, intended measurement pressure, gas temperature, available flow, ambient range, composition, contaminant loading, and sample vent or return conditions.
- Sample Handling
- Define flow-through or direct-pipeline installation, extraction probe, tubing, filtration philosophy, pressure control, flow control, cooling, bypass, liquid handling, calibration connection, and sample return or disposal.
- Installation Area
- Confirm indoor or outdoor location, hazardous-area classification, ambient exposure, direct-pipeline mechanical requirements, protective cover or insulation needs, shelter space, and maintenance access.
- Utilities
- Provide 20-27 VDC power, approved hazardous-area wiring, grounding, sample flow, and any heating, cooling, purge, drainage, or safe-vent utilities required by the selected arrangement.
- Response Requirement
- State the required measurement-cycle frequency, sample transport distance, acceptable stabilization time, alarm delay, and response expectations following process changes or mode switching.
- Integration Requirement
- Select RS-485 Modbus RTU or 4-20 mA and define scaling, register mapping, measurement-mode status, alarm logic, data-quality flags, historian tags, and any pressure correction performed in the host system.
- Commissioning Requirement
- Confirm pressure and leak tests, flow setup, thermal checks, mirror inspection, measurement-mode verification, analogue or Modbus checks, alarm simulation, reference comparison, training, and records.
