The CONG Prima-10 is a two-component online analyzer system comprising an explosion-protected Dew Point Transducer and a Central Control Unit installed in a safe area. One chilled-mirror measurement cell can register water dew point, hydrocarbon condensation temperature, or both values alternately.

The system is available with a gas-preparation arrangement or a direct-pipeline module. How it measures

Measurement Principle

The Dew Point Transducer cools a mirror while a laser-based interferometric optical system monitors the surface for condensation. The mirror temperature at the detected onset of water or hydrocarbon condensation is registered by the transducer. The Central Control Unit provides operational control, diagnostics, adjustment, and digital and analogue plant interfaces.

Range and cooling selection

Water and hydrocarbon measurement ranges are selected configurations rather than one continuous combined range. Supplemental cooling is required for water dew-point measurements below -30 °C.

Ordered configuration

The approved order identifies the selected ranges, required water-dew-point accuracy, measurement pressure, pressure and temperature inputs, sample-system or direct-pipeline arrangement, and Central Control Unit power supply.

Measurement Objective
Automatic online measurement of water dew point, hydrocarbon condensation temperature, or both alternately in natural gas, with safe-area operation and plant-data interfaces through the Central Control Unit.
Signal Outputs
The Central Control Unit provides RS-485 Modbus RTU, RS-232 Modbus RTU, and two 4-20 mA outputs. It can accept 4-20 mA pressure and temperature inputs. Final scaling, register mapping, correction logic, and alarm use are project specific.
Data Integration

Sample System & Online Analyzer Readiness

Reliable online measurement depends on the process interface as well as the analyzer. Confirm the following application data before final configuration and quotation.

Sample Type & Phase
Representative single-phase natural gas at the defined measurement pressure. Provide full composition and identify free liquids, glycol, methanol, compressor oil, aerosol, particulate, and expected heavy-hydrocarbon content.
Measurement Range
Select the required water and hydrocarbon ranges, water accuracy option, measurement mode, alarm points, measurement pressure, and any contractual reference-pressure correction. Identify whether supplemental cooling is required.
Sample Conditions
Provide pipeline pressure and temperature, intended measurement pressure, available flow, ambient range, gas composition, contaminant loading, safe-area distance, and the sample vent or return conditions.
Sample Handling
Define the gas-preparation system or direct-pipeline module, extraction probe, filtration philosophy, pressure and flow control, cooling, bypass, liquid handling, pressure and temperature inputs, calibration connection, and sample return or disposal.
Installation Area
