Blue Dragon H₂S Sensing Tape — 330 ft is the controlled lead-acetate sensing consumable for the Model 810H2S online hydrogen sulfide tape analyzer and Model 810H2S-TS hydrogen sulfide and total sulfur tape analyzer. Fresh treated tape provides the reaction surface used by the optical H₂S measurement system.

The 330 ft format supports extended online analyzer operation while retaining controlled tape width, chemistry, optical response and batch consistency. Batch inspection documentation is available, and the tape has a minimum 10-year shelf life when kept in its original protective packaging in a cool, dry environment.

Sensing chemistry

Detection Principle

Hydrogen sulfide reacts with the lead-acetate chemistry on the sensing substrate to form a brown-to-dark lead-sulfide (PbS) stain. The online analyzer measures the optical change on fresh tape to determine H₂S concentration. The tape sensitivity specification is 0.01 ppm H₂S; overall analyzer detection performance also depends on analyzer configuration, sample conditions, calibration and operating parameters. In the 810H2S-TS, Total Sulfur measurement is achieved through the analyzer's sulfur-conversion system before H₂S detection on the tape.
