How it measures

Measurement Principle

The Ag-target X-ray tube irradiates the sample and the Fast-SDD detector measures the energies and intensities of characteristic fluorescent X-rays. The software identifies elements and calculates concentrations using the selected Fundamental Parameters or working-curve method. Results depend on the installed mode, sample matrix, surface, thickness, geometry, preparation, measurement time, and calibration quality.
